Supermarket Iceland has developed 3,000 job opportunities to address the massive demand on the internet groceries. Due to the isolation period, online shopping has seen a huge jump, over 300% since April.
From employing more employees and additional delivery drivers to take care of online orders, Iceland declares its initiative to compete with other businesses in the battle to attract more shoppers.
The company, with a moderate online delivery before the coronavirus pandemic, aims to take advantage of the current situation. It has already managed to deal with abundance of orders, a four-time increase since the lockdown.
