Net earnings in BDO Leasing stood at P135 million from January to September 2020, compared to the P39 million loss during the same months last year. The gain generally comes as a result of smaller interest and funding.
The company saw an overall downturn by 18% due to decreased borrowings and smaller funding expenses. Also, interest and finding charges fell by 55% because of small interest level. This is while BDO sold its controlling stake to a minor party and has planned to offer its customers leasing and fund products via its subsidiary, BFC.
