Nissan to Launch New Cars By 2025

Makoto Uchida, Nissan Motor Company’s Chief Executive Officer, announced that the company intends to offer several new vehicles in China’s fast-growing market in the 5 upcoming years. It will help the disrupted Japanese auto manufacturing company get back on track. Affirming that signs of recovery are seen in the current Chinese market, he expects a consistent rebound while keeping a close eye in case of any trouble. According to him, Nissan has planned to launch 9 new electric models and remodels by 2025; plug-in electric and hybrid vehicles will be among them. This is while investors are concerned over the Japan’s automaker, who announced a $4.5 billion loss due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nissan is committed to reduce 300 billion yen, equal to $2.84 billion, from annual funds and address the focal companies’ market in China, the U.S. and Japan. The Nissan’s decline in sales was noticeable compared to its Japanese competitors like Toyota and Honda, both with a rise in sales as a result of China’s demand as the pandemic alleviated during the summer.
