Huawei's Premises in India Searched

Indian tax officials have carried an investigation in offices of Huawei telecommunications equipment company, said a government authority who also approved local media news.

The authority, seeking for anonymity, said the search was done in Huawei’s office grounds in Gurgaon and Bangalore.  

In this regard, NDTV reported that Indian authorities from the income tax office checked financial documents, account books and company records, Indian businesses as well as overseas transactions.

Huawei said in its statement we were notified of the officials’ visit to the office. It also added Huawei is certain that the operations in India entirely comply with the laws and regulations so it will provide the Indian officials with sufficient information.

The income tax office didn’t comment on this though.

India didn’t name Huawei among the foreign suppliers authorized to test 5G technology last year.

Saudi Arabia Signs a Deal with Huawei to Grow Talents

A recent report by the Saudi Press Agency stated Saudi Digital Academy and Huawei sealed a deal aimed to expand Saudi Arabia ‘s digital evolution and develop Saudi’s talents in technology.

The deal between the two countries was signed by Mohammed Al-Suhaim- the Academy's CEO- and Steven Liu- Deputy CEO of Huawei Tech Investment in Saudi Arabia.  

Based on the deal, the two parties will work together on starting different projects, backed by the Huawei Academy for Information Technology and Communications.

Joint efforts will be made in the next years in order to arrange the Huawei competition for ITC across the Middle East every year. The Last year's competition was organized by the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

In line with the fresh agreement, other events will take place to convey knowledge. Huawei, a leading global provider of ICT, will grant authorized certificates to 100 Saudi trainers in the academy’s training project.

Huawei's 5G Network to Be Counted Out

The UK is going to terminate the Huawei technology in 5th-generation network this year to avoid security risks. Boris Johnson, the prime minister, is making a policy change following the GCHQ report on the high security risks posed by Huawei company. A study states that US sanctions on the company has made Huawei to use “untrusted” technology. GCHQ’s National Cyber Security Centre has reported that the US sanctions on preventing Huawei from using US-related technology has badly effected Huawei’s growth. This is while there’s a tension between America and London after Boris Johnson gave Huawei a limited role in Britain’s 5G networking. Authorities are making schemes to avoid 5G network activity in the next 6 months. The company’s participation in Britain’s 5G network has increased worries among Conservative backbenchers. Samira H.
