Flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, is set to recommence its flights to the capital of Maldives, Malé, as of October 27th. Four times a week, the flights to Malé will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The resumption is a response to rising demand as Maldives has reopened its borders to tourists from across the world this summer. Including this country, the total number of international destinations reaches 40. Developing its operations since the month of July, the airline aims to run cargo flights as well as repatriation flights, apart from its own schedule. The hygiene and safe tourism plan has been issued by Maldives’ Tourism Ministry and all vacation locations are set to observe hygiene to guarantee safe travels for both tourists and crew. Samira H.

Flydubai Plans to Develop Flights in Romania

Next Month, Flydubai Airline will launch service to Cluj-Napoka, Romania’s second biggest city. As of March 20, the carrier will run twice a week between DXB (Dubai) and CLJ (Cluj) airports. Dubai Aviation Corporation already flies twice a day between Dubai International and Bucharest. The number of flights to Romania will reach 16 a week overall as of March 20. FlyDubai’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said service to Romania began with 4 flights a week to Bucharest back in 2012. Following huge demand for air cargo traffic between the two countries, the UAE’s carrier business in the European country has multiplied. He added Flydubai aims to increase passenger and commercial travel between the two destinations. The re-designed airline passenger flights will reduce physical contact between crew and travelers. To curb Covid-19, Multi-Risk Travel Insurance Coverage is offered to passengers.
