AutoX self-driving car tech company reported driverless cars are currently being tested in Shenzhen, China. A “completely autonomous fleet” with no driver and remote user is checked out on the Chinese city's roads. In the last six months, some tests have been carried out to measure the performance of fully driverless cars on roads.
Also, in Robotaxis, already introduced in China, a driver or remote operator controls the car if necessary. Although not available for the public yet, they serve for private guests and businessmen.
Presently, the company is testing over 100 robotaxis in various cities in China along with 25 completely driverless cars in Shenzhen.
China also plans to further its tests and go over to 10 cities across the world.
