Australia And China's Business Relations Preserved

Despite recent friction with China over exports, Australia intends to keep solid connections with the country to sustain its prosperity. Australian farming leaders, worried about conflict with China, demand a division between foreign relations and regular business with China. A few days ago, Agribusiness Australia released a report stating that its agricultural income has fallen $ 12bn short of its target for 2030, $100bn in production. The report says it’s necessary to restore the sector’s operation by raising its target of $100bn to $300bn. In line with this, the report requests the sector to comply with social, environmental, and government guidelines to sustain the agricultural supply chain and to encourage investors from other countries, particularly the Europeans. Additionally, this report asks the industry to create a diversity to access markets and to see the “substantial economic potential” in China’s Belt and Road for agriculture exports from Australia. It states that road and rail construction in Eurasia provides remarkable business opportunities. It also remarks that it allows trouble-free trading with China and offers new customers faster and cheaper access to Australian goods from Australia. Samira H.
